We went to the Gukje Art Museum in the Daemyung campus of Keimyung University to see artworks this time!
There was a graduation exhibition of students majoring in painting at Keimyung University.
But our art tour starts at Suga Street of BTS on the way to the Gukje museum.
On the way to the museum, there are mural paintings of Suga to commemorate Suga's previous practice room in Daemyung-dong.
It is a street that shows Suga's status as a world star well! After seeing this street, we were heading to the Gukje Art Museum.
And we unexpectedly encountered an exhibition of first grade students from Gyeongbuk Art High School.
The first work by the first-year students of Gyeongbuk Arts High School was work that using a mask.
This work expresses the brightness of overcoming the gloomy COVID-19 days. It's such a beautiful work. The interior of the museum was quite spacious and pleasant, and many of the students' works were hung on the walls.
Most of them were paintings, and there were a few sculptures.
It was a work by first grade high school students, and I was surprised that it is such high quality works. There were also works that expressed frogs in the form of characters.
In particular, Seungwoo liked this work because he likes frogs.
There was also a watercolor painting of words using only light and shade.
These were unimaginably well-drawn works by the first grade of high school. The sight of two horses running excitedly on the beach makes us excited, too.
In addition, the white horse looks even more cool because it is a painting painted only with light and shade. There were paintings that looked like mosaic.
We thought that mosaic was a painting that covered other materials after painting, but it was amazing that it was actually a painting that was divided and colored. This work impressed us a lot in that we imagined a mosaic state and created a color arrangement and painted it.
In addition, considering that this is the work of a first grade high school student, we think they have a talent and really great students.
Since then, we have come to see the graduation exhibition of Keimyung University students exhibited at the Museum of Gukje Art.
We also saw the works of high school students before, so we watched the exhibition thinking about the difference between high school and college students. We were so excited to see an exhibition of people who are about the same age as us. And we went to the museum.
Also, we were wondering if there would be any contemporary art, just painting, or other works of art, even though it's painting.
The Gukje Art Museum certainly had a wider and quieter atmosphere than the exhibition of high school students.
There was a big difference between high school and college students.Although it is trivial in terms of subject matter and expression, we felt that the resonance to the audience was different.
There were a lot of paintings like this, but there were so many outstanding paintings so that we thought it feels like photography.
Also, it is touched that they put the flowers underneath the painting thinking about their friends. We thought that it is nice to prepare several flowers for the graduation exhibition of our school's friends.
In addition to one painting, there were many other paintings that I made thinking of as a set
This kind of works were good to create a new meaning looking at the title and they made us feel that there was no right answer in art.In the past, only professional painting artists' works were meaningful, and we thought only famous paintings were meaningful, but in reality, we thought they were all beautiful. we also learned that works of art can create new meaning by mixing the artist's intention and the viewer's intention.
After viewing all the works of first exhibition hall, we entered the next exhibition hall.
This exhibition hall was brighter, and there were many art works that could think of new meanings. We thought that depending on the atmosphere of the place, the work could look differently.
The exhibition hall we saw earlier was a little dark, but as the exhibition hall became brighter, the bouncy feeling became stronger.
And it may have bouncy feeling because there are many bright colored works in the bright exhibition hall.It seems certainly that the atmosphere of the exhibition hall has a great influence on the appreciation of the work.
And we felt that this art were more natural in every way than the works of high school students.
When we saw that painting, we wanted to live in a snow mountain like that.Seeing the pine tree standing in the white snow without falling made us imagine the noble characters of classical literature.
In addition, we think it was even more enjoyable to watch because they made it possible to carry small printed pictures at the bottom of each work.
It couldn't express the texture of the art work, but it was printed in thick paper, so it was enough to keep it.
Also, it was impressive that the texture of the waves was well expressed in oil paintings.
We think the appearance of the bubble of the waves shows the efforts of college students well.It was so impressive that even if you use the same material, you can create a different feeling by using different techniques.
In addition to this, there were many works that were expressed using many genre like video and music.
Seeing this kind of work made us think a lot.
When we thought about why the artist made this work even through a work that simply listed several images of food.It was possible to judge it from various perspectives.
There were several cute paintings along with these paintings, and we felt great when we thought of the artists who would have painted them on a large canvas.
Visiting the Gukje Art Museum gave us a lot of thoughts.
It's not an art museum that displays works every time. But we only see works by professional artists before.
Watching the works of college students to become artists made us to think a lot of becoming an expert.
We recommend everyone to visit at least once.
